Frequently asked questions
Everything about uploads, downloads, Pro access, pricing and supported audio formats.
- How do I upload tracks?
- Sign in, open your dashboard and use the Upload button. Free accounts can upload up to 5 tracks; paid plans raise or remove the limit.
- What do I get with Pro?
- Pro unlocks unlimited uploads, the Set Builder, Hot Cues & Loops editor, MIDI export for your DAW and Track Pools. Plus covers tour dates and up to 20 tracks.
- Which audio formats are supported?
- Upload lossless .wav, .aiff or .flac for the best quality — we generate an AAC preview automatically. .mp3 is also accepted.
- How do downloads work?
- Any registered user can download tracks the artist has marked as free. For paid tracks, the artist provides an external buy link (e.g. Beatport, Bandcamp) — purchases happen on that store, not on DJCueX. When a lossless master is attached to a free download, the original file is served; otherwise the AAC/MP3 preview is delivered.
- What happens during transcoding?
- After upload, your file is queued on our transcoder which generates a streamable AAC preview. The lossless master is kept untouched for downloads. Larger files or busy queues may take a minute — you can leave the page and the track will appear when ready.
- What's in the dashboard?
- Your dashboard is the hub for managing tracks, mixes, playlists, tour dates and (on Pro) Track Pools. You'll see listens, likes and downloads at a glance, and can edit, replace or schedule any release.
- Where do I manage account settings?
- Open Settings from the user menu to update your profile, email, password, two-factor authentication, notification preferences and subscription. Cancelling keeps your paid features active until the end of the billing period.
- How does Pro pricing and billing work?
- Plus is €6.99/month and Pro is €10.99/month, billed monthly via Paddle. Upgrade or switch tiers any time from Settings — changes take effect immediately and are pro-rated. Cancelling keeps your paid features until the end of the current billing period, then drops you back to Free; existing tracks stay public, but new uploads are blocked if you're over the Free limit.
- What are the upload limits?
- Maximum file size is 500 MB per track on every plan. Track limits: Free up to 5 tracks, Plus up to 20 tracks, Pro unlimited. Accepted formats are .wav, .aiff, .flac (recommended) and .mp3.
- What makes DJCueX different from SoundCloud?
- SoundCloud is built for listening; DJCueX is built for performance. We offer tools DJs actually need in the booth: hot cues, loops, Rekordbox XML export, stem support, BPM + Camelot key detection and private DJ pools for sharing edits. See the full comparison.
- Can I export hot cues to Rekordbox?
- Yes. On Pro, the Hot Cues & Loops editor lets you set cue points and loops, then export everything as a Rekordbox-ready XML file. Drop it into Pioneer DJ and your preparation work is already done.
- Does DJCueX support stems?
- Yes. Pro includes stem tools that let you isolate drums, vocals, bass and other elements from a track — useful for planning transitions, mashups and live edits before you hit the decks.
- Can DJs upload private edits?
- Yes. Pro users can create private Track Pools to share edits, bootlegs and unreleased versions with a closed group of DJs — perfect for crew edits and tour material that shouldn't be public.
- Is DJCueX free?
- Yes — you can upload up to 5 tracks on the free plan, manage your profile and download free releases. Pro (€10.99/month) and Plus (€6.99/month) unlock unlimited uploads, the Set Builder, hot cues, Rekordbox export, Track Pools and more.
